FURTHER RESEARCH & REFERENCING
Following on from last weeks lectures I had a chat with Danny (fellow student) who had been into the University library and found a DVD (The Rhythm of film) by a chap called Geoffrey Jones.
I set aside my Monday night activities and began watching what was a real eye opener and very enjoyable watch.
His direction and choice of music was amazing - choosing (what I would have presumed fairly non eventful) subjects such as Snow, Rail, Locomotion and Trinidad & Tobago.
Geoffrey Jones has been making films that look, sound and feel like nothing else. He has a great nack of marrying images, music & rhythm together to make film that really draws you in.
He is one of Britain's true film artists making full use of his Bolex 16mm camera.
Cheers Danny!!
